About Story Camp Utah
In 2008, this project began in Orem City when Cherie Davis, Debi Richan, and Nannette Watts saw a need to educate young people in the art of Storytelling in a fun, non-threatening, group setting. Story Camp received sponsorship from the Utah Storytelling Guild as all three founders are long-time members of the Guild (which also began in Orem). Orem City provided funds necessary to begin the camp through generous grants from the CARE program. Orem Public Library partnered with Stories Unlimited and USG by providing much needed space and Story Camp Utah was under way.
